For Customers

Get Any Job Done in 6 Steps

From posting your job to signing a contract, Jobsy handles the full workflow so you can focus on getting the job done right.

01

Post Your Job

Describe what you need done, set your budget range, upload photos or videos of the work area, choose your parish, and set a deadline for when the job needs to be completed. It takes about 2 minutes.

02

Receive Competitive Bids

Verified providers in your parish see your job and submit their bids with prices, timelines, and proposals. You stay in control. Providers with scheduling conflicts are automatically blocked from bidding.

03

Choose the Best Bid

Compare bids side by side. Review each provider's proposal, price, estimated timeline, and ratings from past jobs. Accept the one that fits your budget and schedule.

04

Sign a Digital Contract

When you accept a bid, Jobsy automatically generates a legally binding digital contract. Both you and the provider must sign within 48 hours. The contract locks in the price, work dates, scope of work, and cancellation terms. If either party doesn't sign in time, the contract expires and your job re-opens for new bids.

05

Track Progress with Milestones

For larger jobs, the contract is broken into milestones. The provider marks each milestone as complete, and you review and approve it. This keeps everyone accountable. If there's a disagreement, either party can raise a dispute on any milestone.

06

Job Complete

Once all milestones are approved (or the job is done), you confirm completion. The contract is marked as complete and you can leave a review. Arrange payment directly with your provider — secure in-app payments are coming soon.

Built-In Protections

Every job on Jobsy comes with these safeguards

Schedule Conflict Detection

Providers are automatically blocked from bidding on jobs that overlap with their existing contracts. No double-booking.

48-Hour Signing Deadline

Both parties must sign the contract within 48 hours. If either side doesn't sign, the contract expires and the job re-opens.

Work Date Enforcement

The job deadline flows directly into the contract. Providers can't start later than the agreed date.

In-app Payments (coming soon)

For now, arrange payment directly with your provider after signing the contract. Secure in-app payments are being built and will add dispute resolution and guaranteed payout protection.

Milestone Tracking

Large jobs are broken into milestones. The provider completes each one, the hirer approves it. Keeps everyone accountable.

Cancellation Process

Either party can request cancellation. The other party must agree. Cancellation fees from the original bid apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it free to post a job?

Yes. Posting a job on Jobsy is completely free. You only pay the agreed amount when you accept a bid and the work is completed.

How does the bidding work?

After you post a job, verified providers in your parish see it and submit bids with their price, timeline, and proposal. You can compare all bids and choose the best one.

What happens after I accept a bid?

Jobsy automatically generates a digital contract. Both you and the provider must sign it within 48 hours. The contract locks in the price, work dates, and scope. If either party doesn't sign, the contract expires and your job re-opens.

Can a provider take on two jobs at the same time?

Jobsy automatically checks for scheduling conflicts. If a provider already has an active contract during your job dates, they will not be able to bid on or be selected for your job.

What if I need to cancel?

Either party can request cancellation through the platform. The other party must approve it. Cancellation fees from the original bid terms may apply.

How do payments work?

For now, arrange payment directly with your provider once you accept their bid. Secure in-app payments are coming soon and will add dispute-resolution protection for both parties. Your digital contract is enforceable either way.

How do I become a provider?

Register at jobsyja.com/register and choose "Provider". Set your trade categories and work parishes, and you'll start seeing matching jobs in your feed.

What if there is a dispute?

Either party can raise a dispute on any milestone through the platform. Jobsy mediates disputes. If unresolved, the matter is governed by Jamaican law as specified in the contract.
